The 18th KWF Tagung in Germany goes ahead as planned!

In a press release on the 25th February the KWF board informed that the forestry trade fair KWF Tagung/KWF Expo shall go ahead as planned on 30. June to 3. July 2021. The conference, that normally take place parallel to the fair, will however be organized digital on 21. – 25. June. This means that there will be no indoor part of the fair, only open air activities.

KWF Tagung goes ahead

All large tent halls will be replaced by separate stands along the forest trails on the fair ground. Also the trails will be wider than normal to make it possible for the visitors to keep a safe distance to each other, and the distance between the stands will be extended.

“Health and safety for all participants comes first” says Bernhard Hauck, project manager of KWF Tagung 2021. “We are constantly in contact with partners, exhibitors and the authorities. As the vaccination process proceeds and as there will be enough reliable quick tests available shortly, the chances are good that the event will take place in the planned format and size.”

The show will take place on 30. June to 3. July in Schwarzenborn. The fair will be open all four days, the excursion can be visited from 30. June to 2. July and the conference will take place on the Internet 21. – 25. June.

The only one this year?

Will KWF be the only forestry show this year? In any case it seems that they will be the first show in a long time. The question is how it will be? The Finnish fair FinnMetko went ahead last year as planned but with no major exhibitors present which lead to that the number of visitors was very low, about 30 % compared to a normal year.

We will simply have to wait and see.
