Eight years after the grand introduction of the Scorpion harvester, Ponsse presents an update of the successful model. According to Ponsse’s press release, the new generation Scorpion harvesters meets all the requirements of forestry today.
Ponsse launches a new Scorpion
Since the introduction in 2013, the Scorpion has become the flagship in the Ponsse range. Over 1200 Scorpion has been manufactured and sold in over 25 countries.
“As earlier, development of the new Scorpion range has been based on feedback from forest machine users, which we have utilized to put the upgrades now being introduced into production. The cabin workspace is now more practical, and the quiet Scorpion landscape office has been developed specifically with the operator’s comfort and ability to keep working in mind,” says Jan Kauhanen, Product Manager, Harvesters, at Ponsse.
The Scorpion is characterized by its visibility and maneuverability. One of the most visible improvements is the new one-piece front window, which reaches all the way up to the cabin roof to offer better visibility and safe working in any weather condition. In addition, the unique crane solution provides excellent visibility in all directions.
The launch itself was made live over the Internet. A sign of the current situation and an example of creativity created due to difficult situation. Well done Ponsse!
